Technology Division:
This Division is divided into two major
sections:
Fruit Post-Harvest and Processing Section:
The fruit post-harvest and processing section has an interest
in the area of preservation, quality evaluation and
development.
Biothechnology Section:
The biotechnology section deals with the application of
i) Microbes for the beneficial use such as
bioleaching of minerals, removal of toxic metal from
industrial sewage wastes, enzyme production, production of
fermented products, etc.
ii) Medicinal plant extracts, essential oils
etc. as anti-microbial and anti-fungal agents.
- Mineral
Technology Division:
Mineral Technology Division is engaged in the beneficiation or
ores using the following techniques:
i) Froth
Flotation.
iii) Wet Magnetic Separation.
ii) Gravity Separation.
