Brief
Description of Objective & Goals
|
|
The main
activity of this Division consists of translating the
viable laboratory findings of various research Centre into
pilot plants and semi-commercial production units. This
involves important steps of designing fabrication,
installation of equipment and its operation. The Division
also offers services in the design and development of
equipment and chemical plants for commercial production in
the public and private sectors. It undertakes the
preparation of techno-economic feasibility study reports
for the prospective entrepreneurs. The Division, besides
giving training, also cater to the needs of industries by
providing analysis and testing services. Over the years,
the Division has gained extensive experience in the above
mentioned areas. The R.I .Division also has its own
R&D programme, the main areas of interest being (a)
production of industrial chemicals and (b) utilization of
agricultural /industrial wastes.
