                            Precision Systems Training Centre, Quetta

                            Precision System Training Centre was established in Quetta in 1986. The Centre is actively involved in the development of specialized manpower. It is conducting 03 years course of Diploma of Associate Engineers in the field of Mechanical Technology (with Specialization in Precision Machining and Instrument Technology). Besides, on completion of the Balancing & Modernization Project of PSTC Quetta, it will also extend designing, fabrication, repairs and maintenance of machines and parts and allied services to the industries.


                            Objective & Functions:
                             

                            The main objective & function of Precision System Training Centre is to cope up the industrial sector through skilled manpower. The centre is providing regular Training Course of Three Years Diploma of Associate Engineer (D.A.E.) in the field of Precision Mechanical and Instrument Technology as well as short courses on various filed/ technologies as per actual requirements of the industrial sector.

                             

                            Main objectives of diploma are;

                            1. To lay in the foundation for the development and generation of technical know-how in the filed of instruments and precision Mechanical Engineering.
                            2. To organize and conduct a three years diploma for 30 students annual basis.
                            3. To organize short-term courses of 3 to 6 months duration for Engineers and technicians employed in local industry.
                            4. Development of manufacturing facilities for precision type of machines and components, gauges, tools, jigs & fixtures which are in enormous demand in local industry resulting in the saving of valuable foreign exchange.
                            5. Development of technical know-how and facilities for the designing of machines, equipment and instruments.

                            Regular Degree/ Diploma Courses:

                            01. Mechanical Technology with (Specialization in Precision Machines & Instrument Technology):​

                            PSTC, Quetta is conducting Three year regular Training course in the field of Mechanical Technology with (Specialization in Precision Machines & Instrument Technology).

                            Duration and No. of Seats Available

                                        The course is based on 03 years, and a batch of 30 students enrolled every year for admission from throughout Pakistan against the allocated seats of province wise.

                             

                            Training Facilities:

                            Conventional Workshop:

                            The conventional machine shop is equipped with state of the art machines and tools to improve the skills of students for better impact to the industry.

                             Advanced manual bench work training; Use of hand and measuring tools required for precision wok; Introduction in machine tools operation of Lathe, Shaping machines, Power hacksaw, Drilling and thread cutting, Brazing and soldering.

                            CNC Machine Shop:

                            CNC Machine shop is equipped with impressive facilities of CNC Milling, CNC Lathe, CNC Die Sinker, and CNC Wirecut Prototype Machines.

                            Computer Lab:

                            Classes for basic I.T Programms and Auto-CAD have been scheduled in computer lab. Lectures of PLC subject are also being delivered through multimedia in this lab.

                            PLC Lab:

                            In addition to the existing facility of Pneumatic, Electro-Pneumatic and Festo based PLC, a Hydraulic, Electro-Hydraulic trainer is being installed and utilized in the practical activities.

                            Hostel Facility:

                            Student’s Hostel for 72 students is functional for belonging to far flung areas of the country.
